Giving back

I believe that being part of the solution is a privilege. To me, giving is not just a responsibility; it is an act of deep pleasure and faith. Every contribution is a seed planted with the intention of creating a better human experience—not just for those who receive, but for the collective story we are all writing together.

Since 2013, I have been an active supporter of organizations on the front lines of change, helping individuals and nature find their own clarity and strength.

I am proud to support the vital work of:

  • Canadian Women’s Foundation: Investing in the power of women and girls to move out of violence and poverty.
  • University Hospital Foundation: Supporting life-saving innovation and care at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic.
  • CNIB Guide Dogs: Empowering Canadians with sight loss to navigate their world with independence and confidence.
  • CNIB (formerly INCA in Quebec): Supporting the blind and partially sighted community across Canada.
  • Canadian Wildlife Federation: Ensuring a future where our natural world and its species continue to thrive.
  • Unstoppable Foundation: Bringing sustainable education and life-changing resources to communities in need internationally.

The Catalina Scholarship: Permission to Pivot

Society is obsessed with specialization and the idea that the choices we make in our youth must be our “life plan” forever. But as humans, we evolve. Our paths expand as we mature, often calling for a profound shift once we have freed ourselves from the expectations of family, culture, or society.

I am currently in the process of launching the Catalina Scholarship. This initiative is dedicated to those who are “mid-path” and ready to make a change.

Whether it’s a specific course, a new training, or a certification, this scholarship is designed to support individuals who are brave enough to change their career or life trajectory. It is for those who realize that their story isn’t over; it’s just ready for a better, more authentic chapter.

Because you don’t have to be stuck in a story you no longer identify with.
